WEBSITES

Hello, I’m Kristen,
an Art Director / Senior Graphic Designer based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I create print and digital products for a more beautiful and usable experience.

In my position as a Art Director and Graphic Designer, I have had the opportunity to develop my skills in business-to-business, retail, business-to-consumer, trade show and large scale event graphics. Within those fields I have extensive experience in creating POP displays, brochures, advertisements, signage and additional pieces that help strengthen brand identity. In addition, I am capable of taking a project from concept through completion.

I currently work in both Mac and PC format and highly skilled in the following computer software programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark XPress, WordPress and Office. I also have experience working in Premiere, After Effects and Dreamweaver. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University and have worked within that field for over 20 years.

WORK FLOW

MY STEP BY STEP PROCESS

01

BRIEFING

I accumulate the information needed to know the client’s objectives and focus on the details of the project.

02

RESEARCH

After reviewing the materials given to me, I can start research. This phase usually entails taking into account competitors, market trends, product/service differentiation, the history of the business, and the future of it as well.

03

BRAINSTORM

I analyze the research gathered and decide on design and functionality criteria.

04

CREATE

Once I have a clear strategy, the idea is to then create preliminary design concepts based on the strategy developed.

05

LAUNCH

With an approved design, I am now able to implement the finished piece across all deliverables, which may include both print and web.
